Volunteers ensure the success of any community event. Our volunteer opportunities are perfect for students (at least 16 years of age) who are in need of service learning hours and other individuals who are interested in community work. Shifts can be flexible and there are a few volunteer teams to choose from. Those are Set-Up and Clean-Up Crew, Welcome Table Assistants, Parade Hands, Kids Activities, Green Team/Floaters, and Parade Concessions. All volunteers must complete the volunteer form below.

Set-Up/Clean Up Crew
Set Up crew will set up tables and chairs, assist vendors with setting up their stations, place decorations around the festival, etc. Clean Up team will break down tables and chairs, remove decorations, and dispose of any trash.
Welcome Table Assistants
Welcome attendees to the 2023 Eastern Shore Juneteenth Parade & Festival, answer questions, and direct participants.
Assist with checking in registered parade entrants and ensure participants stay on route.
Assist in set up and running of the festival's kids activities. Kids activities volunteers will be subjected to a criminal background check.
The Green Team/Floaters are responsible for keeping festival grounds clean and for interacting with participants throughout the festival.
Bag and distribute cotton candy, popcorn, and other goods during the parade.
