2021 Juneteenth Community Cookout

We Could Use Volunteers.

Volunteers ensure the success of any community event. Our volunteer opportunities are perfect for students (at least 16 years of age) who are in need of service learning hours and adults who are interested in community work. Shifts can be flexible and there are a few volunteer teams to choose from. They are Set-Up and Clean-Up Team, Parking Assistants, and Green Team/Greeters.

1. Set-Up and Clean-Up Team: Set Up crew will set up tables and chairs, assist vendors with setting up their stations, place decorations around the festival, etc. Clean Up team will break down tables and chairs, remove decorations, and dispose of any trash.

2. Parking Assistants: The Parking crew will direct attendees to park on both sides of Picnic Island (City Park across from Ben's Red Swings); and will guide any attendees who need accessible parking. This team may also include crossing guards.

3. Green Team/Greeters: The Green Team/Greeters will be responsible for keeping grounds clean throughout the event and interacting with attendees.

All volunteers must complete a volunteer form which can be found below. We will be in contact with you within 24 hours after receiving your completed volunteer form. Please plan to arrive at the event site at least 1 hour before start time (3:00 PM).

Thank you for helping us make a difference!
